Epic Games, Inc. is an American video game and software developer and publisher based in Cary, North Carolina. The company was founded by Tim Sweeney as Potomac Computer Systems in 1991, originally located in his parents' house in Potomac, Maryland. Following his first commercial video game release, ZZT, the company became Epic MegaGames, Inc. in early 1992 and brought on Mark Rein, who is the company's vice president to date. Moving their headquarters to Cary in 1999, the studio's name was simplified to Epic Games.

An angry customer said this on Sitejabber "My daughter accidentally purchased the wrong item using her pocket money. She was so upset that I contacted Epic and requested a refund to which I was told NO. Stating if they gave a refund to her its showing favoritism. No it is rectifying a mistake made by a child clicking the wrong thing. No help at all from these fools! Keep away and do not waste your money on them when they do not care at all. Disgusting customer service".

Caleb says

"Epic Games, Inc. has proven time and time again to be one of the most anti-competitive and anti-consumer companies in the video game industry. Their constant usage of "Epic Games Exclusives" where they take games off of other platforms like Steam, Origin, Uplay, etc. and force you to buy the game on Epic Games' platform, is incredibly frustrating as a consumer who wants to have multiple options of where they can buy their games from. Recently Epic Games updated a game called Rocket League which released in 2015 on Steam by Psyonix, but was acquired by Epic Games in 2019. Any users who purchased Rocket League on the Steam platform now have to create and use an Epic Games account to be able to play this game which was not previously required. This is unfair for the consumers who bought the game back in 2015 who want nothing to do with Epic Games or their poor business practices."

Tom B. Stone says

"I got scammed by a game on their site and they did nothing. I cant even leav a revieve on the game to warn others. it sucks"

"This Company just made GTA5 F2P, so that made the game trash bcz there are many Hacker who made 1000 accs. . And Now in Rocket leauge u have to connect ur Epic games acc with the game or else u can't play the game. All servers are slow and they keep failing in service connection, STOP RUINING GAME EXPERIENCE FOR THE PLAYERS. PLEASE STICK TO YOUR OWN GAMES"

Jet says
